Stanzin Chuskit inspires us all at Lotus Flower Trust...
In this video, our wonderful friend expresses thanks to representatives from Motivation India who recently delivered and fitted 30 bespoke wheelchairs, funded by Lotus Flower Trust, to users of the Pagir Leh-Ladakh Centre.
In her speech, Stanzin says the new chairs allow users to explore the world. She explains they are not just 2 wheels and a chair, but 'our legs'. Finally, she says: "I am not disabled, I am a specially-abled person."
This speech was especially poignant as 4 of the prospective owners of the new chairs unfortunately died of Covid. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends at PAGIR.
So proud of all our friends at People's Action Group Of Inclusion and Rights - PAGIR and huge thanks to Motivation India for measuring, fitting and travelling nearly 1,000 km to this remote part of Ladakh to help change lives forever.
